Acting stereotypes

The lion king musical- Lyceum theatre

After a well anticipated wait, industry love finally saw the production of the lion king at the Lyceum theatre on Wednesday 15th at 7.30.
The show is just over 2 hours long with an interval, but every minutes was worth it. Tickets start from £25 to as much as £95but I guarantee its money well spent.
From the opening scene to the end the show was packed with exciting and creative dancing acting costumes, and a spectacular set, which bought the play even more to life. The actors adults and children were on top of there game on the night and were very well received by the audience who clapped practically after every Scene. It was like watching the cartoon all over again, a personal onstage favourite was the actors who portrayed timon and pumbaa, they really made the characteristic and the voices sound exactly like the cartoon timon and pumbaa.
The original songs bought about a nostalgic nature and some new songs were added to the musical which were all as great to listen to.
This musical is truly amazing and must be seen, so the next time you find yourself needing inspiration, take yourself down to the Lyceum theatre and see the lion king, an isle seat in the stalls area is recommended. There is also a gift shop where you can purchase some really nice items, so make sure the wallets and purses aren’t empty. industry love promises that you will not be disappointed. As some of you may know, I have just launched my own production company (Star Reach Productions). My team and I are currently in the pre-production stage of our first project, a drama series about relationships. We are currently looking for actors between ages 18 and 65, experienced or inexperienced it really doesn’t matter. THICK SKIN ARE LOOKING FOR YOUNG MALE ACTORS, WHO WANT TO GO TO EDINBURGH!

Following two award-winning productions at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, ThickSkin is looking for a young male actor to play a leading role in their next play, Chalk Farm.

Chalk Farm is an explosive new play written by critically-acclaimed playwrights Kieran Hurley and AJ Taudevin about love and blame during the 2011 London riots. The production will premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe 2013.
